Security of Supply

In order to ensure daily availability and security of supply of radioisotopes and a sustainable, interruption-free, year-round production, new, modular production technologies have been developed by ITG Isotope Technologies Garching GmbH (ITG) together with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the new FRM II reactor in Garching. Effectively enabling the utilization of a vast majority of available research reactors and accelerators around the world.

More than 15 reactors and accelerators in Europe, Russia, the USA and other parts of the world today form a network of irradiation facilities for radio-nuclides. After irradiation radioisotopes are subsequently processed and produced in the facilities in Garching. In this fashion ITG can supply its services globally on a daily basis, 365 days per year.

The level of service and isotope availability provided by ITG constitutes a unique achievement in a globalized market largely influenced by repeated isotope supply crisis. ITG thereby provides an indispensable level of service to its industrial and medical partners.
